It began with restoring group prayers in the community center and meeting one another at BBQ family potlucks. A specific goal was set to raise money for a private place to worship. That same fall the lease was signed for Maple Grove Masjid, located in a small strip mall between a dentist and Jazzercise studio. History was made in Maple Grove as its first masjid was officially established. Maple Grove Masjid is home to Muslim communities in Maple Grove and surrounding northwest suburbs such as Rogers, St. Michael, and Otsego.
