The Islamic Games is the premier Muslim sports and athletic event in North America, dedicated to promoting physical excellence, unity, and community development. Established in 1989 in Queens, NY with a handful of athletes, the Games have evolved into a national platform that brings together athletes, families, and communities in an environment rooted in faith, health, and sportsmanship. In 2025, over 8,000 athletes from more than 750 teams participated across the USA and Canada, with 2026 projections of 10,000+ athletes and 900+ teams.
