Religious Services
The Fox Valley Islamic Society is a longstanding Muslim community organization serving families and individuals throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Founded in 1970, FVIS has grown from an initial community of approximately ten Muslim families into a community of more than one hundred families. The organization provides daily and Friday prayers, Islamic education, family activities, and programs designed for children, youth, adults, men, women, and new Muslims. FVIS also provides important religious and life-cycle services, including Shahada support, Nikkah and premarital counseling, and Janazah services. Its Weekend Islamic School offers Quranic Studies, Sunnah/Sirah, and Classical Arabic for children ages 4–18. The organization is also working toward a new mosque facility designed to provide expanded prayer space, children's areas, and space for future educational and youth programs.
