Religious Services
Darul Hikmah Islamic Center (DHIC) is a community-oriented Islamic organization serving Muslims in Alexandria and the surrounding Northern Virginia area. The center provides daily congregational prayers, Jumu’ah, Qur’an education, Islamic studies, community gatherings, Ramadan programs, and support services. DHIC describes its community as one made up of Muslims from diverse cultural backgrounds and emphasizes creating a welcoming environment for every generation. Education is a key part of DHIC's programming, with a weekend Qur’an School for children ages 6–14, a weekday Hifzul Quran program, and Sunday Islamic Studies covering Aqeedah, Seerah, and Fiqh. The center also supports new Muslims and visitors through guidance and mentorship, while its community initiatives include Iftar meals, food drives, Zakat and Sadaqah assistance, Janazah support, and ongoing masjid expansion.
