Religious Services
The Central Mosque of Charleston is an established Islamic community institution serving Muslims throughout Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry area. Its mission is centered on congregational worship, Islamic education, preservation of Islamic values, community unity, and service to Muslims. The mosque also welcomes non-Muslim visitors and organizations interested in learning more about Islam and the local Muslim community. Beyond its regular prayer services, Central Mosque of Charleston provides Islamic education, children's schooling, study circles, women's programs, marriage and funeral services, community events, and outreach initiatives. Its organizational structure includes committees focused on religious guidance, education, communications, women's activities, and funeral assistance. The mosque is also working toward a new Islamic center project to expand its educational and community services.
